Family Membership

We help families to understand and meet the needs of their child with high learning potential and give parents a voice. At the same time membership helps our charity to maintain an independent voice and allows us to support all families that are in need of help and advice through free services such as this website and web chat.

Family Membership

How much does it cost to join us as a family member?

£60 for first year, which includes a joining fee; the annual membership reduces to £25 for renewals after the first year.

Or join now for three years for £99, which gives you a 10% discount.

The benefits of full Family Membership are ongoing help and support, including:

  • Unlimited bookable telephone consultancy calls (otherwise £30 per booked consultancy call for non-members and associate members)
  • Fully Resourced Parents' Area for Members on the website with printable fact and advice sheets for parents and selected suitable ones for children, recorded webinars and activity packs
  • Children's e-zines: SPARK for under 5s, FUSE for primary age children, and IGNIS for secondary age young people (examples given for you to view)
  • Monthly e-newsletter from our Chief Executive, keeping you informed about G&T issues, Potential Plus UK initiatives and other opportunities of interest to families with HLP children
  • Volunteer-led Explorer Clubs around the country at member rates (check if there is one near you)
  • Early booking and discounts on national events such as BIG Family Weekends, including children's activities and parents' workshops to enthuse, educate and entertain
  • Discounts on children’s assessments run by Potential Plus UK
  • Eligibility to apply to the Scholarship Fund for financial help to attend Potential Plus UK national events or take up Potential Plus UK assessments
  • Access to our closed Facebook group for parents and carers

Associate Family Membership

Some schools or organisations join Potential Plus UK in order to provide support for the families of high potential learners that they work with. If your school or other organisation has joined us, then they should   have passed on their Associate Family Membership code to you. You can only join Potential Plus UK free of charge as an Associate Family Member if you have this code and know the name of your school or organisation.

The benefits of Associate Family Membership are:

  • Fully Resourced Parents' Area for Members on the website with printable fact and advice sheets for parents and selected suitable ones for children, recorded webinars and activity packs
  • Children's e-zines: SPARK for under 5s, FUSE for primary age children, and IGNIS for secondary age young people (examples given for you to view)

Once you have joined Potential Plus UK as an Associate Family Member you have the opportunity, if you wish, to pay a discounted rate to become a full Family Member in order to access the following additional benefits:
