Welcome to the volunteer area on the Potential Plus UK website.

If you're an Potential Plus UK member and volunteer, then please click here to login to the members' volunteer area.

Volunteers are an important and integral part of Potential Plus UK and many services could not be delivered, locally or nationally, without a committed and active volunteer base.

The roles undertaken by Potential Plus UK volunteers are extremely varied and cover:
  • Explorer Clubs: volunteers run the local clubs, providing parental support and children's activities, keeping an eye on local finances, making others aware of the group, serving refreshments, editing the local news sheet and many other essential tasks that help the club to deliver important services locally.  Click here for more information.

  • Council of Management: trustees are volunteers who meet regularly to oversee the work of the Potential Plus UK

  • Head Office Administration: volunteers help to send out mailings to our members and to support club activities. There are also opportunities to help with finance, fundraising, data entry and to take first-line calls on the Potential Plus UK helpline

  • Event Supporters: many of our events and activities would not be possible without the support of volunteers helping in workshops, serving refreshments, assisting with parking and a multitude of other tasks
Head office and the local groups are always looking for volunteers who can devote a few hours every month or now and again to help with their activities and services. Potential Plus UK can offer an induction to the organisation/group and out-of-pocket expenses where appropriate. Head office also provides training appropriate to the volunteer role, such as Safeguarding Awareness, Helpline Skills, Finance and Fundraising.

If you would like to know more about volunteering for Potential Plus UK, please contact the Volunteer Support Manager, Julie Taplin, on 01908 646433 or email julietaplin@potentialplusuk.org.
