Dive into the world of veterinary science and get a glimpse behind the scenes, including hands – on veterinary pathology activities and a live – streamed dissection demonstration from the Royal Veterinary College’s Anatomy Lecture Theatre.

This event is recommended for children aged 16+.

Henry Martineau and guests will discuss their careers in pathology and veterinary science while taking questions from the audience.

About The Speakers
Andrew Cook is the head of the anatomy service at the Royal Veterinary College. He regularly dissects creatures if all shapes and sizes.

Henry Martineau is the Head of Veterinary Forensic Pathology at the Royal Veterinary College. She is particularly interested in how pathogens interact with their hosts at molecular, cellular and whole animal level.

Dr Lizzie Burns has a doctorate, and fellowship in cancer research at the University of Oxford. She is now a full – time science – based artist exploring the beauty and wonder of life and how medicine helps. Lizzie has worked on many outreach projects including for the Royal College of Pathologists encouraging young people to get inspired by pathology. Lizzie also works regularly with adults in University College Hospital as a Creative Specialist within Oncology, and started the Anti – boredom Campaign to raise awareness of boredom in hospitals and encourage resources to improve well – being, to provide a much needed ‘holiday for the mind’. We hope these resources can be useful for learning and relaxation whatever your age, situation or background.
