The masterclass will focus on developing the literary skills of very able writers, across a range of genre, using a variety of stimuli including portraits, poetry and classic texts.

The workshop will also provide a professional development opportunity for primary teachers as each school sending pupils will also be able to send a member of staff to observe and participate. Over lunch there will be the opportunity for teachers to discuss English teaching with Aileen Hoare, Director of North West Gifted and Talented, who will be leading the day.

Children will need to bring: a pencil, whiteboard and pen and lunch. Drinks and biscuits will be provided for both teachers and children.

This is for children in years 3 and 4.

Cost: £75 per school (each school may send up to 3 pupils and an accompanying teacher)
