A masterclass for very able writers and accompanying teachers.

The masterclasses will focus on developing the literary skills of very able writers, across a range of genre, using a variety of stimuli including portraits, poetry and classic texts.

The workshop will also provide a professional development opportunity for primary teachers as each school sending pupils will also be able to send a member of staff to observe and participate. Over lunch there will be the opportunity for teachers to discuss English teaching with Aileen Hoare, Director of NWGT, who will be leading the day.

Children will need to bring: a pencil, pen (a fountain pen is preferable but not essential), whiteboard and pen and lunch. Drinks and biscuits will be provided for both teachers and children.
