Scientists become famous by solving problems; philosophers become famous by posing questions that people are still trying to answer hundreds of years later.
Or should that be “discovering”, not “inventing”?
This hour of philosophising (with 5 minute brain – break at half time) will give you the chance to puzzle over some juicy, interesting questions with other curious young minds from around the country. The session will be facilitated by Jason Buckley, Director of Studies at www.giftcourses.co.uk
Is the future longer than the past? What is the hardest part of being human for a computer to master? Is it possible to explain what “left” means without using “right”? These might, or might not, be among the weird and wonderful questions we explore in this brain – stretching hour.
