The workshop will be delivered via Zoom and you will receive an email with instructions of how to join the session.

The last few weeks have been an opportunity for us all to try our hand at home education and some of you may be contemplating continuing after schools resume. Potential Plus UK is running an online parent workshop – vPlus Parents – on Home Education to provide information and support to aid these decisions. At the same time the workshop will raise funds for the charity, as all our usual fundraising weekend events have had to be cancelled.

This workshop will provide a look at the world of home education, and a chance to consider the good, the bad, the why and the how. Why does home education receive such a bad press? Just how is elective home education such a wildly different beast from what everyone is now doing? And what resources are available? Michael will answer these questions in the context of his daughter’s own home education journey and the experience they have shared.

Michael will answer these questions in the context of his daughter’s own home education journey and the experience they have shared. Michael Speranza is a trustee for Potential Plus UK. He is a senior finance lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience. He is currently working freelance as a senior consultant solicitor and working with several different legal firms. He and his wife have home educated their daughter since she was eight years old.
